Dun Morogh Sledding

I was recently exploring Dun Morogh after being inspired by Skolnick of Warcraft Less Traveled to check out the wintry “vacation” cave of Ortell in the mountains of Dun Morogh. Of course, I get lost in the process and find myself on the complete opposite side of the zone. Pleasantly surprised though, I stumbled upon some Dun Morogh Sledders (57,24).

Just to the northeast, I located a small trail that leads to a previously troll inhabited cave but is now used as brewery storage facility to keep all those sledders bodies toasty warm. Inside you’ll find two sledders, a small fire and two large barrels of Dun Morogh’s finest brew. Just outside a cute little pug named Ollie can be found along the trail being pulled around on sled by his owner (we’ll call him Dun Morogh Sledder #1).

By far the best part of this little adventure was catching some fast moving sledding action. To check out the video after the jump. Read more »

Fashion – Bloodsail Garb

Ahoy Matey! I’ve crushed seventeen men’s skulls between me thighs! …. Ooo Ummm, I’m letting the hat get to me. So I broke out the pirate gear and decided to talk a bit o’ pirate to yas! This ensemble can be derived a multitude of ways, but the main way is through the quest Dressing the Part and Avast Ye! Admiral. However, you can easily mimic the look with a few other pieces.

The feathery accessory that is on every pirate’s must have list, the Blood Parrot. The Blood Parrot is an equip feature of the Bloodsail Admiral’s Hat, but can be easily duped by four other known parrots in the game. (Hyacinth Macaw, Cockatiel, Green Wing Macaw or Senegal) There are also two other hat alternatives to the Bloodsail Admiral’s Hat. The Admiral’s Hat looks just like the Bloodsail version but comes in blue rather than red. If you are feeling like a different style of hat prepare yourself for a grind to get the First Mate Hat. Exalted….Again

In patch 4.0.6 (?), Bob and his minions decided to bork a title I had previously achieved back in June 2010. That title was “the Exalted”. I’m all about adding new achieves, however Bob really bucked the system when he took out the title by those who had previously achieved it. At first, I was pretty darn annoyed and wanted to shove a frozen trout up Bob’s flaring nostrils. However, I found it motivated me to grab the 2 more exalted reputations and hit the 50 exalted titles and then some. Bob can still eff off with that fail action.

The good news QQ’s to blues made an impact and they fixed (or are fixing) the title for those who previously achieved it.

Part of Your Guild

A parody “Part of your World” from The Little Mermaid by Aquilae of World of Filkcraft. It’s actually quite beautifully sung.

Fashion Friday – Simple Dress

I’ve decided to do a weekly series called Fashion Friday. The idea is to present different options in outfits and accessories that can be worn in game whether if it’s for role playing or just simply want to look a little bit different from the normal end game raiding sets (there’s a time for those as well).

So this week, I wanted to start with a basic yet functional peasant like simple dress that features a lovely brown sash that coordinates with any basic brown shoe. Today, I chose to go with a simple, yet stylish pair of Lookout’s shoes. The Bouquet of Orange Marigolds makes a lovely accessory for the peasant girl who wants the classic romantic feel (also doubles as a way to mask those funky farm smells). So whether you are running through a field of wildflowers or milking a cow, You’ve got a beautiful and functional outfit.

Changes

Recently, I’ve had to make a lot of changes due to a security issue that arose. Currently everything is up to par as far as security is concerned, however I have a lot of behind the scenes work to accomplish.

With this recent incident, I have decided to take a more active role in updating this site with at least weekly content. I hope I can stick with it this time.

Cheers,
Jewelies

P.S. new site design in the works as well.
